About the event
It's that time of year again.
Our annual Holiday Lantern Tour is back—and if you've been before, you know exactly why this evening sells out. If you haven't, here's what you need to know: this isn't a tasting room experience. This is a progressive wine tasting by lantern light, walking across Pamelot Estate with Pamela and David, stopping at five different spots on the property to taste five different wines while hearing the stories that go with each location.
This is a 90-minute progressive wine tasting across Pamelot Estate by lantern light. You'll visit at least five distinct locations on the property, taste a different wine at each stop, and hear the stories—both about the land and the wine—that connect them.
The walking is gentle—comfortable strolling pace on relatively flat terrain. We move slowly enough to actually absorb the experience rather than rush through it. And the December air? Crisp but not uncomfortable, especially when you're moving and holding a warm glass of wine.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
90-minute progressive wine tasting with at least 5 wines at 5 different estate locations
Guided tour with proprietors Pamela and David (this is their story, told in their words, at the actual places where it happened)
Lantern for your journey (we provide them—and yes, they create perfect photo lighting for those Instagram-worthy shots)
Plus: The estate dressed in holiday lights, creating that once-a-year atmosphere that makes this tour something special even for repeat guests.

Anyone who thinks wine tastes better when you understand exactly where it came from
Never been on a lantern tour before? Most first-timers tell us this becomes their new favorite way to experience a winery. The walking is gentle (comfortable strolling pace on relatively flat terrain), and we move slowly enough to soak it all in. No wine expertise required—Pamela and David meet you exactly where you are, whether you're a longtime wine enthusiast or just starting to explore beyond grocery store bottles.
Been on this tour before? You know why you're coming back. The route is familiar, but the wines change, the stories deepen, and there's something about this evening that never gets old—especially when the property's dressed in holiday lights and the December air has that particular crispness that only happens this time of year.
Age requirement: 21+ only (wine tasting included)
EVENT DETAILS
When: Thursday, December 18th, 2024 at 6:30 PM
Price: $85 per person
Group Size: Limited to 20 guests to keep the walk intimate and ensure everyone can hear the stories clearly
What to Bring: Just yourself and your curiosity—we provide lanterns, wine, and all the stories
What to Wear: Comfortable walking shoes (we'll be on gentle terrain but it's still a working farm) and layers for evening temperatures. December in Georgia typically runs 40s to 50s after dark. Come as you are—no fancy dress required for meaningful experiences.
There's something about tasting wine in the exact places that make Pamelot Estate special—by the fountain, inside the gazebo, among the vines themselves—that changes how you experience it. You're not analyzing the wine in some abstract way; you're connecting it to the actual architecture of this place, the way the land unfolds, the thoughtful decisions about where things belong.
Picture yourself at one stop: You're gathered by the fountain as December air drifts across your face, lantern casting warm light on the water. Pamela's pouring a wine, and the setting itself becomes part of the tasting—the way sound carries differently here, the view of the vineyard from this vantage point, the story of why the fountain sits exactly where it does. The holiday lights catch on frost and water. And suddenly you understand something about place that you couldn't have grasped standing at a tasting bar.
At another stop, you're by the gazebo—sheltered, intimate, the group gathered close as David shares stories about the land you're overlooking. The wine in your glass connects to what you're seeing.
There's a rhythm to the evening that feels almost meditative. Walk. Story. Wine. Repeat. No rushing, no crowding around a bar, no background music competing with conversation. Just lantern light, good company, and the kind of wine education that happens through experience rather than explanation.
By the time you reach the final stop, you're not just a visitor anymore. You've walked the land. You've heard the stories. You've tasted wines in places most guests never access. You've earned a different kind of relationship with this place.
Before this experience: Estate-grown is a nice phrase on a label.
After this experience: Estate-grown means something specific—you can picture the exact rows, remember the stories behind the plantings, recall the moment you stood there in December with a lantern and tasted the result of all those decisions.
And here's what returning guests tell us: even if you've done this tour before, it deepens every year. The wines change, your palate evolves, and there's something grounding about this December ritual—coming back to walk the same land, taste new vintages, and mark the passage of another year at a place that's become part of your story too.
READY TO WALK WITH US?
We're keeping this tour intimate—limited to 20 guests—so everyone can walk comfortably together, hear the stories at each stop, and have space for questions. This annual tour has sold out every year, and December dates fill especially quickly as people look for meaningful holiday experiences that aren't shopping or wrapping presents.
RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR THE HOLIDAY LANTERN TOUR
This is the wine experience you'll tell people about—the one that makes you see vineyards differently every time you visit one after. And doing it by lantern light, with the estate dressed in holiday magic, with Pamela and David as your guides? That's the kind of December evening that becomes part of your own annual tradition.
