Starting with a deep love for horses and a dream of preserving agricultural heritage, Pamela established Pamelot Farm as a premier equestrian center. But her vision didn’t stop there.

Where Heritage Meets Innovation
Georgia’s First Soley
Woman Founded Farm Winery
Inspired by a transformative trip to France’s Loire Valley and Champagne regions, Pamela saw an opportunity to create something unprecedented in the area.

At Painted Horse Winery & Vineyards, we’ve created a destination where you can savor artisanal wines, connect with agricultural heritage, and create lasting memories—all within a short drive from Atlanta
Whether you’re seeking a peaceful afternoon escape or planning a special celebration, our family estate offers an experience unlike any other in Georgia
Armed with determination and her grandfather’s 1950 Ford 8N tractor Pamela Borgel broke ground on the estate’s first vineyard in 2017
What came next would become Georgia wine history

By 2019, Painted Horse Winery emerged as Milton’s founding winery, producing over 9,000 bottles in its first year. Today, our estate produces approximately 12,000 bottles annually, each handcrafted in our artisanal boutique winery.
Today Painted Horse Winery and Vineyards is Milton, Georgia’s founding winery, and is the only farm winery in Fulton County. Pamela’s dream, IS a reality.
It is the only farm winery in Georgia that was started by a woman alone, and the only farm winery in Fulton County.
Painted Horse Winery’s mission is to provide the community with not only fine wines but also a winery experience that expresses the joy of Estate living. The Estate continues to grow proving working farms can still exist and thrive.

"When I’m not pouring my heart into Painted Horse Winery, I love spending quality time with David and our family. We have a passion for traveling, we love to explore or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. When traveling we love to discover new wines, foods and cultures - always looking for inspiration to bring back home to our own winery! At home, we cherish quiet evenings with good food, great wine and the company of loved ones, finding balance in the simple joys of life."

"I am so blessed to be married to David! He is an incredible husband always standing beside me and encouraging me in my farming dreams. We have ten children and a growing number of grandchildren. We are also blessed that the majority of the children live nearby and two of them work with us at The Farm. We don’t get much time off the clock, but when we do we are usually traveling. Adventure and relaxation is what we are about when traveling. Of course, wherever we go, seeking out the best wineries is a priority!"
