About the event
An Invitation to Our Table
We're opening our estate home on November 21st for something we only do three or four times a year—a Founders Tasting where just ten guests gather around our family table for wine education you won't find in any tasting room.
This isn't happening in the tasting room with our staff. It's David and me, personally guiding you through four wines we've chosen specifically for Thanksgiving. Around our actual table. In our home. With eight other guests who want to understand wine at a deeper level.
What Happens During These Two Hours
You'll taste four wines—the ones we reach for when our own family gathers for the holidays. But more importantly, you'll understand how they work with everything on a Thanksgiving table.
David will walk you through what's happening in each glass. The structure. The acidity. Why this particular vintage works with roasted poultry while another pairs better with richer dishes. These are the insights you won't get standing at a tasting bar with fifteen other people waiting for their turn.
We'll talk through how each wine complements different elements of your Thanksgiving meal. The herbed turkey. The sweet potato casserole. Your family's cranberry sauce recipe. The sides that make your table yours. Bring your actual questions about your specific menu—we'll answer them.
By the end of the evening, you'll know exactly what to pour on the 28th. More than that, you'll be able to explain it when someone at your table asks why you chose it.
The last time we hosted a Founders Tasting in our home, one of the guests told us she'd spent years going to tastings but never really understood why certain wines worked with certain foods. Two hours at our table changed that. She left confident about what she was buying and why it mattered.
That's what this evening is about.
What's Included
Two hours with David and me in our estate homeWe limit these intimate tastings to just a handful each year. This is the only one before Thanksgiving.
Four wines chosen specifically for Thanksgiving pairings, from lighter whites through fuller reds, with the stories behind each vintage and why we selected them.
Artisanal charcuterie and seasonal pairings Food pairings that mirror the flavors you'll be serving on the 28th.
Real conversation about wine. This isn't a scripted tasting. Bring your questions about your actual Thanksgiving menu. We'll answer them.
The ability to purchase bottles on-site: When you find your favorites, you can take them home that same night. No separate trip, no wondering about inventory.
Who This Is For
This evening is for guests who want to move past "I know what I like" into actually understanding wine—without the intimidation that comes with traditional wine education.
You'll love this if you're:
Hosting Thanksgiving and want to serve wine with genuine confidence and knowledge
Bringing wine to someone else's table and want to show up with choices you can actually explain
Ready to deepen your wine knowledge in a personal, approachable setting
Curious about how wine pairing actually works, beyond the basic "red with meat, white with fish"
Looking for an exclusive experience that goes beyond typical tasting room visits
Not a wine expert? Perfect. David and I will meet you exactly where you are. Some of our favorite conversations happen with curious wine lovers who are just beginning to explore beyond "red or white."
Already know your wines? Even better. You'll get insights into growing decisions, vintage variations, and pairing nuances you won't find anywhere else. This is founder-level knowledge, not tasting room script.
Why This Evening Matters
With only ten seats and the timing just before Thanksgiving, these tastings create something you can't get in a larger setting: the space to ask your actual questions, explore at your own pace, and leave genuinely confident about what you're serving.
This is personal wine education in the most intimate setting we offer. The kind of evening that changes how you think about wine—not just for Thanksgiving, but every time you're choosing what to pour.
