About the event
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, which means the costumes go on early and there's a whole morning to fill before dark. We have an idea.
Trot or Treat on Saturday, October 31 turns the entire farm into a trick-or-treat route — no cars, no cul-de-sac, no waiting until sundown. Instead, kids trot from stop to stop across the property, collecting candy at each one and meeting a few four-legged residents along the way.
Who this is for
This one is built for families with little ones in costume, grandparents who want to tag along for the photos, and anyone who'd rather spend Halloween morning outside than inside. If you've got a toddler who needs a slow lap and a seven-year-old who wants to sprint, both will have a good time — there's no set pace and no line to stand in.
What actually happens
Arrive in costume anytime after 10:30 AM and pick up your route. From there, you'll make your way to treat stops set up in some of our favorite spots on the property — Candy at every stop, and a reason to see the whole place.
The route also takes you past the farm animals down at the children's pavilion, now reachable by our brand-new bridge over the creek — no more walking the parking lot to get back up to the barn. Our paddock has been expanded this year too, so there's more room to see our animals up close. The horses will be in and around the stables as usual.
What you'll leave with
A full treat bag, a morning of costume photos in real fall light, and the kind of Halloween memory that doesn't involve a driveway. Your kids get the candy; you get a genuine farm visit folded into the same ninety minutes.
What's included
Access to every treat stop across the farm
Candy at each stop along the route
Time with the farm animals at the children's pavilion
Entry to the farm and grounds for the duration of the event
Costume-photo backdrops all over the property
Event details
Date: Saturday, October 31 · 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
Price: $20 per child · $5 per adult
Duration: About 90 minutes — come when you like within the window
Ages: Best suited for kids; every child must be accompanied by a ticketed adult
What to wear: Costumes strongly encouraged, plus comfortable closed-toe shoes — this is a real working farm with uneven ground
What to bring: A treat bag or bucket. We'll handle the candy.
Weather: This is an outdoor, rain-or-shine-ish event — dress for the morning.
A note on timing
We're wrapping at noon on purpose: that's when the winery opens for the day, and we want the morning to belong entirely to the kids. So plan to be here by 11:15 or so to make the full loop.
